“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11 NKJV
There is no other name greater than Jesus. It’s not even a competition. Any odds you stack against Him, Jesus will always overcome. His victory is sure and does not need to be contested again. It is a victory that rings throughout all of time and space that He is Lord. No other name can eclipse the Name of Jesus, both now and for all eternity.
The battle was won at the cross, and any name that stares you in the face today, bowed its knee, became defeated, and remains defeated because of Jesus’ once and for all sacrifice and atonement. The names of this world have already been won over by the Name of Jesus Christ.
So what name is staring you in the face today? Maybe it’s depression, cancer, bankruptcy, or divorce. Whatever name it is, Jesus’ name will forever trump it. Jesus met that name on the cross and won the battle. He disarmed it of authority, and it bows right now before His Name.
